ICT Services and Support
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department is a function within the Corporate Support and Administration (CSA) Unit. The role of the department is to enable the GEP business by providing strategic support and technology-based solutions. The functions of the ICT department include:
- Governance of ICT, ICT Strategy Management, ICT Enterprise Architecture, ICT Program/Project Management, Business Process Automation, Digital Transformation, and Innovation.
- Business Applications Management, Data/Information Security Management, ICT Continuity.
- ICT Operations and Facilities Management, Management of External Service Providers (3rd parties), Software and License Management, Infrastructure Management (WAN/LAN).
The ICT Policies that govern the function are: Corporate Governance of ICT Policy; ICT Users Management Policy, ICT Disaster Recovery Plan.
Business Applications currently implemented: GEP Online (Financial Support, and Business Development Support Services – Core Business); Pastel (Finance and SCM business processes); VIP (Human Resources Management, Human Resource Development, and Employees Self Service); Loan Management System (Debt Management); and Credit Verification (Debtors).
The collaborative services currently in use are: Email as a Service; Microsoft Teams; Mimecast; Shared Network Folders.
